BASI Buyer Policy - All Sales Final & No Returns Policy

Applies to: All transactions conducted on BuyAndSellInventory.com (“BASI”)
1. All Sales Are Final
All items sold through BASI are final sale.
No returns, exchanges, or cancellations are permitted once a transaction is completed.
By placing an order on BASI, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that all purchases are made on an “as-is, where-is” basis, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing within the listing.
By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that they have conducted all necessary due diligence and accept full responsibility for the transaction.
2. Buyer Responsibility & Due Diligence
BASI is a marketplace connecting independent buyers and sellers.
It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to ensure they fully understand what they are purchasing before completing a transaction.
Buyers are expected to:
Review all listing details, images, condition notes, and disclosures carefully
Ask any and all questions during the chat and negotiation phase
Confirm condition, quantity, quality, functionality, and expectations directly with the seller
Conduct independent inspections or verifications if desired, outside of BASI, prior to purchase.
Once a purchase is completed, the buyer confirms they are certain about their purchase and accept the item as listed.
3. No Returns for Buyer Preference or Resale Performance
Returns or refunds will not be granted for reasons including, but not limited to:
Buyer’s remorse or change of mind
Resale difficulty or resale performance
Overstock, slow-moving inventory, or pricing assumptions
Minor cosmetic wear or packaging condition consistent with liquidation inventory
Failure to review listing details prior to purchase
4. Seller Disclosure Obligation
Sellers are required to:
Provide honest, accurate, and complete descriptions
Disclose known material defects or limitations
Represent inventory condition truthfully based on their knowledge
However, BASI does not guarantee condition, performance, or fitness for a particular purpose and does not independently inspect or certify inventory unless explicitly stated.
Buyers acknowledge that inventory may include a minor level of defects consistent with liquidation goods, and a defect rate of up to 3% is considered acceptable unless otherwise stated in the listing.
5. Payments & Escrow Process
All payments on BASI are processed securely through Stripe, BASI’s third-party payment provider.
Funds are held by Stripe and are not held or controlled by BASI at any time. Funds are released in accordance with BASI’s marketplace process following buyer confirmation or the expiration of the 3 business day inspection window from confirmed delivery.
Buyer Delivery Confirmation Requirement
Upon delivery of inventory, the buyer is required to log in to their BASI dashboard and mark the order as “Delivered / Received.”
This action confirms receipt of the inventory and may trigger the release of funds to the seller. If no action is taken, the transaction will automatically proceed and funds may be released at the end of the 3 business day inspection window.
Applicable sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout by Stripe Tax in accordance with applicable laws.
6. Limited Dispute Review (Not a Return Policy)
BASI does not offer returns, mediate disputes, or act as an arbitrator between Buyers and Sellers.
BASI may, at its sole discretion, review disputes solely for the purpose of enforcing platform policies and maintaining marketplace integrity, including:
- Material misrepresentation of the item
- Incorrect item shipped
- Quantity variance beyond any stated deficiency allowance
- Defect rate exceeding 3% of the total items received, which may be considered a material issue
Any issue must be reported within 3 business days from confirmed delivery and supported by clear documentation.
BASI is not obligated to intervene in any dispute.
All resolutions remain between the Buyer and Seller.
In limited cases involving verified platform policy violations, BASI may determine that a refund is appropriate at its sole discretion. Refunds, if issued, are the sole remedy.
Any approved return or refund is subject to the Returns & Refund Conditions set out in Section 6.1 below.
6.1 Returns & Refund Conditions
If you raise a dispute through BASI due to material misrepresentation or incorrect shipment and request a refund, you must return the goods to the Seller to be eligible for a refund.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of:
• the Seller, if the issue is due to misrepresentation or incorrect shipment; or
• the Buyer, for all other reasons, unless otherwise agreed in writing.BASI does not take possession of goods and does not manage returns or logistics. All returns are handled directly between Buyer and Seller.
You must initiate the return and provide valid return tracking within 4 business days of raising the dispute.
Refunds will not be processed until the goods are returned and delivery is confirmed, or both parties agree in writing to an alternative resolution.
If you fail to return the goods or provide valid tracking within this timeframe, the transaction may be considered complete and funds may be released to the Seller. BASI may, at its sole discretion, enforce these conditions, including holding or releasing funds based on available evidence.
7. Platform Role & Liability Disclaimer
BASI acts solely as a technology platform and marketplace facilitator and is not a buyer, seller, broker, or agent in any transaction.
BASI does not take possession, ownership, or control of any inventory listed or sold on the platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BASI disclaims all liability related to:
Item condition
Buyer suitability
Resale outcomes
Transaction disputes between users
7.1 Shipping & Risk
Buyers acknowledge that BASI is not responsible for shipping, delivery, or carrier performance.
Risk of loss transfers in accordance with the seller’s shipping terms.
Buyers are responsible for filing any claims directly with the shipping carrier where applicable.
8. Off-Platform Transactions Prohibited
Any attempt to complete transactions outside of the BASI platform is strictly prohibited.
Transactions conducted outside of BASI void all platform protections, including payment security, escrow safeguards, and dispute review eligibility.
9. Acceptance of Policy
By using BASI and completing a purchase, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Buyer Policy. This Buyer Policy is incorporated by reference into BASI's Terms and Conditions.
